Simpler Integration, More Scriptable, and now a Free Version.
GoZync is a framework for building offline FileMaker Go solutions that talk to hosted FMP files. With GoZync you can...
• Push and pull data over shaky (even 3G) connections.
• Gracefully handle disconnects in the middle of data transfers.
• Deploy new builds of the mobile files to your users.
• Pull found sets (just my data) down to mobile users.
• Rely on database transactions for reliable sync.
Purchasing options are found further down the page here.

Here is a quick video showing how you can work offline and then push edited records back up to your hosted FileMaker files.
GoZync system is perfect for Stat Bio-Medical and can’t say enough good things about how this is going to change my company and supporting my customers over night! Once again, thank you for saving my company and being able to let us Go Green.... Go Paperless with GoZync.... over night!!!
Add GoZync to your files or build out from ours.

You can paste GoZync’s scripts and layouts to zync your existing iPad files.
GoZync is all native FileMaker scripting, no plugins required. Preview the integration instructions here, or watch us add zync to a brand new file in about 10 minutes.

Local FileMaker Go files run faster and feel more like iPad apps.
GoZync lets you deploy local files to your users: files that run ON the iPad or iPhone instead of from FileMaker Server. Local files run faster (and open faster) than hosted files, making them feel more like your users expect iOS apps to behave.
With GoZync you can deploy several smaller, single-purpose apps rather than asking your users to run the mothership system on their mobile devices. For more on the benefits of going local, and why we love this aspect of GoZync, check out Todd’s blog post "why go local".
Wow, you and your team are amazing. Thank you for the rapid response and assistance on these files. Thanks to your efforts, the team down in Haiti was able to go out, do patient visits, and successfully sync their patient data.
Easily deliver new builds (new databases and/or new data) to your users.
Your users can simply click "update" to download the latest version of your mobile file. And unlike files delivered by email or via iTunes, new files delivered by GoZync clobber existing files of the same name, so your users always know which file is current.
Users can get new files while out of the office, over the same shaky 3G or WIFI connections.
You can decide if files come down empty, or with data (such as price lists or catalogs). And of course our scripts prevent users from updating their local copy while it had new records that haven’t yet been sent to your main solution (though you can change that behaviour if you need to since all that scripting in the mobile file is unlocked).
Or use GoZync as a mini app store
In addition to this in-app updating, you can deploy GoZync as a file delivery portal--like a mini apps store--so your users can get copies of new apps you distribute. Here’s a short video.
GoZync can tell if a record exists, and then edit it.
It’s your decision if you’re just making new records on the iPad or editing records you bring down from FileMaker Pro.
When GoZync sends records back up to the server, the records are placed in an intermediate file. GoZync then "exlodes" the record into variables that GoZync scripts use to add or edit records. Because this data is presented in variables-- and moved into your records using simple SetField() commands, you can easily modify how GoZync works, editing records in only some cases, sending email notifications, running your own scripts, etc.
New: Field-Level Merge
With this turned on, GoZync will only send the fields that have been changed since the last zync, instead of sending the whole record.
This can be a huge help if both the mobile user and hosted users may be editing the same record: if you edit someone’s phone number, and I edit their name, field-level merge lets both those edits get to the same record.
Or imagine that you have a collection of photos about a building the iPad. Without field-level merge, editing the caption of one photo would cause all the photos on that record to be sent up to the server: with field-level we only send the caption.

Three levels of GoZync are available: LowZync, MoZync, and ProZync. During checkout you can also purchase implementation packages if you’d prefer that we wire GoZync into your solution ourselves.

GoZync can zync FMGo-to-FileMakerServer or FMGo-to-FileMaker Pro, so it does not require FileMaker Server. You will need to be able to "see" your hosted databases from your iOS device, however. On the host/server side, GoZync requires FileMaker 12 or higher.
We’re building a suite of small templates for FileMaker Go that are all ready wired to use GoZync. The first two are...
• TimeZync: offline time tracking for iPhone.
• GoMaps: interactive maps for FileMaker Go on iPad.

Sync SQL Sources
GoZync can leverage FileMaker’s ESS (External SQL Source) support to let you sync your mobile app with hosted SQL sources including Oracle and MySQL tables. Learn more about connecting FileMaker Go to Oracle or MySQL.
Vertical Market Licenses
If you’re interested in adding Zync to your vertical market solution, franchise software, or Zync-enabling your solution’s FileMaker Go file that is currently running live, we can offer special pricing and programs so you can use our license server to re-sell GoZync seats to your clients. Little Known Facts
A few cool things you may not have known about GoZync...
• GoZync requires almost no changes to your main hosted solution.
• Because the intermediary file translates the data from Mobile into your solution, your mobile files need have NO schema (fields and tables) in common with your served solution (though if schema is *similar* the integration goes much faster).
Mobile files and served files can be developed and revised independently so you’re free to keep developing even after you’ve deployed GoZync enabled mobile files.
• GoZync can pull records down to your mobile files as well as push records up.
• And it can bring down just "my" records: it brings down a found set and your scripting determines what that found set looks like (my jobs, my active jobs, etc.) allowing each mobile user to get just their data.
• Your MoZync or ProZync license supports any number of different mobile files, so you can build a suite of small, single purpose FMGo applications.
• The mobile example file that comes with GoZync contains all kind of cool little interface tricks you can add to your own FMGo files.
• It will zync Pro-to-Pro as well as Go-to-Pro.
• GoZync is enthusiastically supported by PointInSpace for those hosting their FileMaker solutions.
• Contemporary pennies are actually a thin layer of copper over a zinc core.
In the Media
FileMaker’s webinar on tuning FileMaker Go solutions for performance ends by endorsing working offline via GoZync for "the ultimate in performance".
Matt Navarre of FileMaker Talk interviewed John Sindelar of SeedCode and Todd Geist of geist interactive about GoZync. Listen to the podcast.
Todd and John also demo’ed GoZync at the West Coast user groups in June and at FileMaker Inc. Donnovan Chandler of Beezwax wrote up a nice description of the demos: Beezwax Blog.
One of the highlights of these demos is breaking the iPad’s wireless connection while uploading 500 invoices to FileMaker Server. Check out a video of the same thing here.
GoZync was featured in the DevCon 2011 keynote. FileMaker Inc. demonstrated a Zync deployment for STAT Bio-Medical that, according to the owner, "saved the company". We have a screen shot and links to STAT Bio in our case study here.
FileMaker Platinum firm FullCity Consulting are GoZync experts and have completed a great app for syncing on-site water quality inspections back to their customer’s main office. Check out screen shots in this case study.
FileMaker Platinum firm IT Solutions chooses GoZync to power an app for the Center for Disabilities Studies. Detailed case study and screenshots here.
