Free Version of CC Calendar for FileMaker 7

Here is a nearly complete feature list for the various versions of CC Calendar. Features avaialble in the Free Version are carried through to the Full, Pro and Scheduling Edition Versions described below.

Perpetual Calendar	View & Create records for any date FileMaker understands. No need to reset or preload dates.
European Date Support	All date formats have been changed to more easily respect FileMaker s localized date formatting.
Start Week on Monday	Optionally change the mini-calendars and month view to start weeks on Monday instead of Sunday.
Day & Month Views Filtered by User	Filters your appointments by user, or repurpose user and filter the calendar by any one appointment attribute.
Filter Out Items	Filters can be set to include or exclude matching records. You may also use multiple criteria in each filter, allowing you to show, for instance, items for Joe, Jim, and/or Sue.
Support for Multi-Day Events	Enter a start date and an end date and your item will be displayed on every day in between. (Note that it might not be in the same place on every day. Some days it may be the first item, while on other days it may have items before it.)
Appointments Across Midnight	Appointments crossing midnight appear appropriately on both days.
Completely Unlocked & Easy to Modify	FileMaker 7 lets us deploy the calendar with fewer calculations and scripts, making the code simpler and easier to work with. You'll find clean, well commented code that doesn't use a lot of arcane abbreviations.
Multi-User, Served Calendar	There are no local components to the calendar. As of version 5.4 all CC Calendar tables are in a single file which is multi-user ready.
Easily Point the Calendar at your own Files	It is now easier than ever to swap out the appointments table the comes with CC Calendar. Complete instructions are provided in our FAQ.
Multiple Users (Attendees) per Appointment (Item)	Easily associate an item with any number of users.
Built in FAQ	CC Calendar includes a FAQ to help you get started. Repurpose this to deliver help content to your own users. An updated, online version of our FAQ is also available.
Print Day or Month Views	Appointments for a given day may be printed as a list while the month view screen may be printed in tabloid format.

Full Version of CC Calendar for FileMaker 7

The Full Version contains all the features in the Free Version plus the following enhancements:

Week and Year Views	Filterable Week and Year views in addition to the Day and Month views in the free version.
Show Records from Additional Tables	In addition to the database of appointments, you may show records from up to two other databases by swapping out our placeholder files, Other Items A and B. Use these to show invoice due dates, vacation schedules, or any other records from tables you may already have.
Equal Treatment for all 7 Days of the Week	Rather than showing truncated days for weekends, the Week View treats each day the same: ideal if your business involves weekends.
Appointment Present Indicators	The mini-calendars and year view display a small blue dot if there are appointments recorded for that date. These indicators respect your filtering of the calendar allowing you to easily get an overview of your month, even from the Daily view.
Search for Appointments	When you click Search , CC Calendar builds a found set to match your current context (week, month, etc,) and filter set. You can then use the calendar filters or FileMaker's find and constrain options to reduce or expand the found set of filtered records. Found sets of appointments are easily printed as a list.
Collapse or Expand Appointments and Other Items' portals on the Daily View	Easily expand or collapse the number of visible portal rows on the daily view between Appointments and Other Items.
Notes Present Indicators	Appointments with additional notes are indicated by the presence of a blue dot beside the item on the daily view.
3 Month Mini-Calendar Overview	Get a three month overview (displaying Appointment Present indicators) on the calendar s daily view.

Pro Version of CC Calendar for FileMaker 7

The Pro Version contains all the features found in the Free and Full Versions, adding the following capabilities:

Filter the Calendar by User AND Type	Filtering by types lets you keep multiple calendars in the same application. Both filters can optionally include or exclude records, and both filters may have multiple criteria.
Color Coded Appointment Types	Associate items with any number of color coded appointment types. Use types to signify different color coded calendars .
Indicators on Mini-Calendars and Year View Respect Filters	Appointment Present indicators respect both the user and type filters in concert.
Repeating Events	Options include events that repeat every x days, every every x weeks, on the xth of the month, and more. Once created, repeating events may be edited and/or deleted independently of each other.
Easily View, Edit, or Delete an Item's Repetitions	For any item that repeats you can easily see the items before and after it, editing or deleting them en masse or individually.
Appointments Times Depicted in a Grid	Based on their start and end times, appointments times are blocked out for each hour of the day, making it easy to see both appointments and gaps between appointments on the daily view.
24 hr Appointment Times Grid on Week View	Making it really easy to see open appointment times for the week. On both the day and week views you may scroll the grid through all 24 hours in the day.
Web Publishing in iCal or PHPiCalendar	Export calendar records in ics format. Then import or subscribe to the calendar using Apple s iCal. Web publish a read only version of the calendar in PHPiCalendar.
Web Publishing: iCal Export Improved	Now easily export filtered records and/or search results (found sets) as individual calendars. Attendees are now supported. The export routine has been simplified (using XML) and you can now more easily modify the export format by editing a single calc in just one script step.
Easier Rebuild from Clone	Many CC Calendar users make a clone of the calendar to reset it to their local date formats. An enhanced reset routine now makes it easier to relaunch the calendar after cloning. Scripts backup the interface and settings records so that a similar script may easily restore them.

What's New in Pro Version 5.4

The 5.4 update of the FileMaker 7 Version of CC Calendar introduced a number of new features. These features are carried over into the Scheduling Edition.

Single File Design	All calendar tables have been consolidated into a single file. Layouts representing the separate files from older versions are included so that you can more easily import records from previous versions. (All Versions)
Nudge Dates	You can now easily move an apppointment foward or back a day using "nudge" arrows on the Edit Appointments mini window. (All Versions)
FAQ Search and Relevance	The calendar's built in FAQ has been improved with the latest content and the addition of a Search bar. Search results are now visually weighted by relvance. (All Versions)
To-Do List	The calendar now offers a To-Do list separate from the appointments table. To-Dos roll over, day to day, until they are done, turning red when they are overdue. To-Dos may be filtered by user and are available on the Day, Week, and Month views. You may associate notes with any to-do item: a blue indicator icon alerts you to the presence of such notes. To-Do items also have their own search & print routines. (Pro Version Only) To-Dos may also be exported to iCal along with appointments.
Create Other Items	Previous versions of the calendar offered place-holder tables for tables you might already have and want to show in the calendar beside the calendar appointments. Version 5.4 now provides and interface for creating, duping, and editing these items, making it easier for you to build out and repurpose these files as you see fit. (Full and Pro Versions. The Full version offers two such files, the Pro version offers one in addition to the to-do list.)
Minor Bug Fixes and Enhancements	We've fixed a couple of minor bugs from previous versions and simplified the New Window calls so that windows are resized using simpler, more centralized calculations. (All Versions)
Instant Web Publishing Module	The Instant Web Publishing Module has been revised to work with the new single file design of the Pro Version. This means you only have to host 2 FM7 files to use Instant Web Publishing. The IWP module also supports the to-do list in CC Calendar Pro. (The IWP Module is available separately and requires CC Calendar Pro for FileMaker 7.)
Completely Unlocked & Easy to Modify	We've simplified and re-commented a number of scripts and calculations, striving to make the most transparent FileMaker calendar available. As always, CC Calendar is completely unlocked.

CC Calendar Pro Scheduling Edition (SE)

The Scheduling edition encompasses all the features in the Free, Full, and Pro Calendars, adding the following new abilities.

Built in Client's Table Lets You Associate Appointments with Clients.	Easily link clients to your appointments; build out from this client's table as a starting point for your own work or swap out the client's table for one already have. (CC Calendar SE comes with instructions for making this swap.)
Elegant Resource Scheduling	You can now associate each appointment with a resource and see a scheduling grid with resources across the top and appointment times down the left. Appointments are placed at the appropriate point on the grid which the size of the appointment reflecting its duration
Multiple Schedule Orientations and Scales	View the scheduling grid either 5 or 11 hours at a time. You can also flip the schedule to view it horizontally with hours across the top and resources down the left side.
Clicking on an Hours Brings Up the Relevant Appointments for that Time.	Clicking in the vertical display of appointment times calls up the appointments occurring at that time; shift-clicking on time creates a new appointment for that time. (This is available on both the Day and Week views.)
Easily Create New Appointments on the Scheduling View(s).	Shift-clicking on the intersection of a Resource and a Time creates a new appointment for that Resource / Time.
New Filter	The Day, Week, and Month views now filter by Resource, in addition to filtering by User and Appointment Type. The Scheduling views filter by Resource Type, letting you easily keep track of different kinds of resources.
Legend of Color Codes	A small legend of the color coded appointment types is now available from all screeens.
Improved FAQ Content	CC Calendar SE comes with over 20 new FAQ entries, including instructions for how to make some of the most common modifications. For the first time you can now easily add your own FAQ entries, using this as a platform to deliver your own help content.
