Devices are added to your device count when they connect to push or pull data from your hosted files, or when they connect to download a new version of themselves. If a device connects to push data and it is over the device count, we'll still let the data come up – we always want you to be able to get your data – but we'll throw an error when you attempt to process it. At that point you'll need to delete an existing device in order to get back under your licensed device count.

Fortunately it is easy to delete a device and you can delete a device at any time: for example, if someone gets a new iPad, you'll delete their old one so you don't have it contributing to your device count.

!! Adding Licenses

Open GoZync.fp7 from your host or FileMaker Server and click the button to log in as an administrator. (The admin password was on that layout, though you've hopefully changed it and/or removed it from the layout.
)

Once logged in you'll see a button in the green bar toward the bottom half of the screen that reads "View & Enter Additional Licenses". Click that and you'll see a screen where you can manage your licenses.

Each additional license you enter counts toward your total number of licensed devices, so if you only have two licensed (as shown below)...

%center% %width=500px newwin% [[http://www.seedcode.com/screenshots/gozync/license.jpg | http://www.seedcode.com/screenshots/gozync/license.jpg]]

...and need a total of 5, you can purchase 3 more by clicking "Purchase Licenses". Once you've purchased your licenses you'll be emailed a license key within a few minutes.

When you've received your license key, click the green plus button beside "Add new licenses" and fill in the fields provided. You'll need the license key, regiester-to name, and order number provided in the email you received to confirm your order.

That's it. You've added a few new devices to your license. You can come back any time and add new licenses.

Devices are added to your device count when they connect to push or pull data from your hosted files, or when they connect to download a new version of themselves. If a device connects to push data and it is over the device count, we'll still let the data come up--we always want you to be able to get your data--but we'll throw an error when you attempt to process it. At that point you'll need to delete an existing device in order to get back under your licensed device count.

To delete a device, open GoZync.fp7 from your host or FileMaker Server and click the button to log in as an administrator. (The admin password was on that layout, though you've hopefully changed it and/or removed it from the layout.)

Then click "Devices" in the header of the unlocked screen. You'll see the following screen where you can delete any devices you need to. They'll be recreated if they try to connect again.

While this does give you a way around our license, we'd rather make it easy for you to accommodate new devices, knowing that you won't want to do this all the time and will get additional licenses if you need them.
