Daily View. Color codes appointments showing the name of the contact linked to the appointment; you can easily enter layout mode and add other fields from your related contacts table. The calendar also offers a simple To-Do list where items roll forward until they are done. |
Appointment Types. Filter the calendar by type, creating as many types as you need. |
Appointment Details. The green arrow above lets you jump right to the related contact-- or you can call the contact up in a mini window so you can edit them without loosing your place in the calendar.(And you can easily add additional contact fields to this layout.) Note the blank tab (you can create others if you need them) giving you space for additional appointment attributes like patient or diagnostic information, notes, etc. |
Repeating Events. Once repeating events are created, they are each discrete appointments in their own right so that you can change their status (type) or nudge them to different days. The repeating events engine also supports odd repeats like the"2nd Tuesday of the Month". |
Month View. Little red dots (on the 15th in this example) let you know there are additional appointments to be seen on the daily view. The list and table icons at the very top of the screen (to the right of the FWD button) will bring up the current month as a list so that you can perform batch replaces and exports on the month's appointments, letting you work with this as a traditional list (below) or in a calendar view. |
Appointment List. At the end of the day the calendar is just a simple table of appointments that we're looking at through the window of a 30 day calendar. But you can always switch to this list view to interact with your events in a more traditional format. |
"Fancy" week view: 15 minute increments. Appointments are placed on the correct spot each day so you can scan your week for gaps. Easily change the information displayed about each appointment by editing a single, well commented calc. You can also use a "low detail" version of this screen that just shows the appointment titles as this screen can get a little slow on some systems. Note the conflicts shown on Tuesday at 8:15 and another on Friday at 11:45. Conflicting appointments look pretty bad here and you'll want to filter the calendar so that conflicts don't show up-- or use the resource scheduling views where conflicts are somewhat different. In any event if you click on a section of overlapping appointments, you'll see both appointments in your found set so that you can navigate between them and adjudicate the conflict. |
"Fancy" week view: 5 minute increments. The scale at the bottom of the screen lets you change the scope of the calendar to zoom in and out on your day. |
Basic Week View. Unlike the "fancy" week views above, this one doesn't attempt to place the appointment on the right portion of each day. Rather, you'll see your appointments in a list for each day. Not only is this a good deal faster than the fancy views, but it can show appointments that may not have times associated with them, such as the "DevCon" item for the 13th above. |
