You've provided excellent documentation and the fact that only one other person had an install program suggests that I'm doing something wrong. That's not a surprise as I'm new to FMP 9, but while I have the fwd and back buttons go to the correct layout they don't go to the correct tab. I've placed zz.BackMagic on each tab and given them unique names, but still in the debugger they aren't picking up the tabobjectname. Any suggestions?

It might be related to the fact that the back/fwd arrows are not appearing though I'm sure they are in the correct Interface container fields with the correct names.

Finally, what is the appropriate way to give SeedCode credit in my program?

Thanks,
Will

Perhaps I should add that the layouts have more than two tabs controls each but as stated in the documentation that should not be an issue in 1.06.

Hi there,

So my *guess* is that you don't have the BackMagic fields on your layout coming from the same table occurrence the layout is based on: this would explain the arrows not showing up and the tabs not working. But I can't really be sure from your description.

Please feel free to email me a copy of the file (john at seedcode.com) and I'd be glad to take a look: when you do, please let me know an example of where the tabs aren't going back correctly. Sounds like you're most of the way there.

As for credits, there is nothing necessary short of leaving our little "BackMagic by SeedCode" credit in the zz.BackMagic.cr field definition. But thanks for asking!

I noticed in the script at the "Go to object (tab)" section that the variable Count is initialized but the variable Counter is used. However it still works despite this as far as I can see.

LOL. Yea. When used like this you don't really need to initialize it to 0 to begin with.
