Is it possible to add a portal from a lower level hierarchy? I am trying to add a portal from the Task level (level 4) to the Phase level (level 3)? I studied your database design diagram and tried to add new links/connections but no luck.

Hi Bernie,

You can easily include portals to a lower level on any of the Selected Item detail tabs (like those on example three) by linking a new Table Occurrence to one of the "HierarchyPortalSelectedItemLevel.." Table Occurrences. In the example below you'd place a portal showing records from HierarchyPortalSelectedItemLevel3_Level4Items on the level 3 tab.

The minute I saw your posting earlier this morning, it made perfect sense to me. I just tested and it works exactly as intended. I was laboring it last night for several hours by adding TaskPhaseID_kf to SelectedItemID to no avail. When it passed midnight, I gave up. What can I say, I am a total newbie.

You made my weekend project possible. But helping people 4am in the morning? Unless you're in Japan or China.
