GoZync2

The Document

What is "the document"?

GoZync sends records back and forth as "documents". That means that we package up everything about the record (and any of its related records) into a single text object we call a document. It is this document that is set up to the InBox of GoZyncConnector from your mobile file, and it is a document like this that is pulled down from then hosted file into your mobile file.

Using a document lets us keep GoZync transactional, so that a document--in its entirety--either makes the trip from file to file or it doesn't: this way you have no partial transmissions of records, nor a record that made it while perhaps one of its related records did not. (This is why you can't reliably use "import records" to move data from a local file to a hosted file.)

And sending data using a document is nice and quick over slow or shaky connections.
