Hello Forum
I need to be able to close address lines when they are blank.

I have a full address as shown below:

Pete Smith (name)
123 The Bellings (address)
York (town)
Yorkshire (county)
YO1 1EW (postcode)

If the next address has no county then how do I get the text to move up and not leave a blank line ?

Hoep someone can help and thanks in advance.

When it comes to printing things like this, enter layout mode and select the objects you wish to slide up. Then select "Set Sliding / Printing..." from FileMaker's Format menu.

Sliding doesn't work in browse mode however. For that, check out this post on using calcs to slide things.

By the way, there is also this cool function for going the other way: breaking an address out again into discrete fields.
