I recently got a new laptop - 1.83 Core Duo, 512 ram, and a 1.5 gigabit speed harddrive. I installed FM8 and tried to run our scheduling edition calendar on it. It is significantly slower than on my old G4 laptop and my iMac G5. Does anybody know if there is a solution to this? Do I need FM 8.5?

I am afraid that that is probably the answer, but does anybody have any specific experience with this?

thanks,

Scott

Right you need 8.5 so that you can run FileMaker natively instead of under Rosetta. Should be much faster that way. Plus that web viewer in 8.5 is a real sleeper feature. There is upgrade pricing available.
