Hi

When i set appointments i realized that you can make 2 identical appointments.Like on starting at 9 to 9:10 and another one with the same time. It will still accept it.I placed some calculations but unfortunately it makes the appointment unique for all the dates!!!
Please could you help me out....i just dont want to have the same timestart and time end for the appointments in each day.
Thanks a lot....i really need this.

Greetings,

This topic has been covered in the forum several places, and in the documentation here ( http://docs.seedcode.com/scc9/show/Conflicts ). I think if you check it out in the documentation you will find what you are looking for

The system shows conflicts for resources, and the modification to disallow them is quite easy. Give it a try and let us know if you have any troubles.

I hope that helps.

OK,

In the same document section I linked before, there is also this page for the previous version of the scheduling edition which should provide you with a head start. ( http://docs.seedcode.com/cccalendarse7/show/Conflicts )

You could always use validation if you do not want any two appointment to have the same start or end times.

If you do not want the to have the same start AND end time, you may need to make a concatenated field depending on the approach you want to take.

I would suggest starting with that and give it a go, if you get stuck you could alwasy ask here for some specific answers to an issue, but make sure to post what you have so far so we can help you with any problems you may have.

If you just can't get it, we are always available for hourly assistance, just email [email protected].

I hope that helps.

I received your screen shot, your problem is not that you have the free version and lack the layout for the change, your best solution is to use validation, as you began to do earlier, but you need to validate across two fields.

You mentioned that if you validate on the time field, it makes the time unique across the whole table, you want it unique for just the day. What you need to do is create a new field, than incorporates both the day and the time, for example:

Date & "•" & Time

The validate that field to be unique.

If you wanted to include both start and end times, you would include all three fields.

I hope that helps, and let us know if it works for you.

First of all thank you for the help,

If i understood you correctly what you are saying is to create a new calculation field that has this Date & "•" & Time in it and then place calculations on it??
If you can...could you explain to me your idea in detail or provide me with some screenshots?

Thanks,
