Our .ics file has no timezone declaration. You can add one in the CCFM2iCal.xsl file inside CC Calendar's iCalXML folder.

I've tried, searched on the web for timezone code, tried some.

Do I really need a complex time zone description? ical has no problems showing it in the right zone, but NUDC shows it 4 hours ahead.

Can you tell me the code to paste into the file possibly? I only need to reference these files locally within the same time zone as CCC creates them.

Could it be that you have Now configured to use a different Time Zone than you have iCal set to? I believe iCal takes the TZ from your Mac; don't know about Now. This is a timezone declaration you can use for East Coast:
Code: Select all
BEGIN:VTIMEZONE
TZID:America/Detroit
LAST-MODIFIED:20051021T223808Z
BEGIN:DAYLIGHT
DTSTART:20050403T070000
TZOFFSETTO:-0400
TZOFFSETFROM:+0000
TZNAME:EDT
END:DAYLIGHT
BEGIN:STANDARD
DTSTART:20051030T020000
TZOFFSETTO:-0500
TZOFFSETFROM:-0400
TZNAME:EST
END:STANDARD
BEGIN:DAYLIGHT
DTSTART:20060402T010000
TZOFFSETTO:-0400
TZOFFSETFROM:-0500
TZNAME:EDT
END:DAYLIGHT
END:VTIMEZONE

I cannot find any setting in Now regarding time zones, I've been searching. I pasted the code you supplied in the xls file right after the version 2.0 line. didn't seem to do anything. I tried removing the subscription (connect to server) and putting it back in again in NUDC didn't make a difference.

I have found that if i manually edit the .ics file to add the timezone tag that Now displays the correct time.

I need to know now how to edit the CCFM file to have all events outputted with the time zone info.

I have tried pasting your timezone code in various places and it doesn't work.

Is this the correct file to put that timezone code into? If so where should it be and is there an xsl tag needed around it?

Thanks

Problem solved.

Mr. Trial and Error here (me) found that I also needed to edit the output script(s) as well and replace ;VALUE=DATE-TIME: (after both DTSTART and DTEND) with ;TZID=America/Detroit:

(I actually changed your code to TZID=US/Eastern and used that in the output scritpts.)

It appears to me that the code in the CCFM file will need to be edited in 2006, true?

I believe that only needs to be edited if you use the Daylight declaration (not actually used in CC Calendar, though posted in this thread).

I don't understand. I did copy your code exactly into the CCFM file, and it does have dates to start and end Daylight vs. Standard.
