Installation issue: mod_proxy.conf missing

I'm trying to install Zulu on FMSA 11.0v5 running on OS X 10.6.8.
FileMaker Web Publishing, including xml publishing, is working fine, and I did turn it off before attempting to install.
When I start the installed, the installation fails with an error message:
Code: Select all
com.prosc.infrastructure.FileMakerConfigurationException: Web Publishing is not deployed and not integrated with webserver.
If you're using FMS 9, please run the Deployment Assistant. Could not locate JK mount config file at /Library/FileMaker Server/Admin/admin-helper/WEB-INF/conf/mod_proxy.conf

I can confirm that mod_proxy.conf is not among the files in that directory, but as FM web publishing is working, the error message doesn't seem to be exact.

Hi,

Is this with the current version of Zulu 1.3403?

Thanks.

Wonder if this is an 11 v5 issue. I'll check this out.

Thanks!

Was this a clean install of 11 v5 or an upgrade from a previous version?

I do think it's worth running Edit Server Deployment to re-initialize web publishing to see if that resolves the issue.

I would uninstall Zulu, run server deployment and then try and reinstall.

Thanks!

Hi,

This is an upgrade from FMS 11.0v4 to 11.0v5. Have you been able to confirm that the Zulu installer "normally" works for that configuration? Can't exactly be a rare thing...

Running Edit Server Deployment again didn't change anything.

I can't very well uninstall Zulu since it's not installed as my problem is precisely that Zulu installation aborts...

/David

Thanks for the details.

Right, we had no problems on our tests and have no other reports of this issue. I'm not sure we did this specifically on 10.6.8, but I'll confirm that as soon as I can spin one up.

I've got a ticket in to the developer as well.

I'm pretty sure there won't be anything there, but if you could see if there's a Catalina log generated for the day when the installation failed, it might tell us something so is worth a look. It would be in:

FileMaker Server / Web Publishing / publishing-engine / cwpe-tomcat / logs / catalina.<data>.log

Thanks,
-Jason

Thanks for the quick reply Jason.

I'm attaching the log.

I'm going to try uninstalling FMS and do a fresh install - I'll let you know if that helps with Zulu.

Hi,

Ok, sounds good.

There is an issue with flushing the Java cache when updating to v5 and wanted to make sure you were aware of that:

http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11058

I would go ahead and clear the cache anyway even with a clean install of 11v5.

I didn't see the log here, but maybe send it to [email protected] and I'll get it there...here's fine too.

Let me know how it goes.
-Jason

Hi Jason,

Uninstall of FMS + actual deletion of all the files & folders, followed by a total re-install of FMS11.0v5 solved the problem. Zulu was installed without error messages - I don't have time to actually test today, but nothing indicates that it didn't install.

I've still e-mailed the log - attaching it here is a pain as file extensions like .log and .txt aren't allowed...

Ok Good!

I'll keep this ticket open with a lower priority and we'll keep an eye out for any other reports on this.

Thanks!!!
