Working without Related Tables.

In Gozync 3 I was able to set the entire data base as separate tables, and would sync the entire data base only. I have several Interrelated Tables and Trying to relate them all would increase the process by 10. I am trying to keep the Zyncing process simple.

Is it possible to do the same with Gozync 4
I have set everything up and I get this log report

0:00:00 - 0:00:00 - Connecting to server...
0:00:02 - 0:00:02 - Getting settings from Host...
0:00:01 - 0:00:03 - There was an error with the GTRR setup

0:00:00 - 0:00:03 - All Done

Thank You in Advance

Yes, in GoZync 4 you can sync all the tables as if they were unrelated--that's the default unless you edit the "requires" column in GoZyncHosted's configuration tab.

I don't think that's what's causing this error. Do you have any hosted or mobile files wired up that aren't open on the host or aren't on your mobile device?

I have the:
GoZync Mobile External resource pointing the Host Database, Mobile Database and GozynicHost File,
Gozync Host External Resource pointing to the Host Database and Gozynclicense

I have change the name of the GozyncFile to sg_GoZyncHosted and also chance the external Resources name as well.

I have removed the Contacts file which came with GoZync Package and removed them from the layouts and Relation ship in GoZync Mobile

Right now I am just working with all files on 1 machine before uploading, making sure everything works.

All Green check marks are on the Configuration page. The host and Mobile file are from a former Gozync 3

I hope this provides enough information you can point me to a direction I may have missed.

Sounds like a pretty straight-up configuration: from that I'd guess that the error is accurate and that you've made a mistake somewhere in editing the script "Setup Go To Related Records (TOName)".

If you can't see what's wrong there I'd be happy to take a look if you could send me your files. I'll send you an email privately with instructions on how to get files to us.

Best,

John

Hi,

I received it Yesterday and sent you an e-mail back for confirmation. I'm not sure why we're unable to receive or send e-mails directly to this e-mail: [email protected]. We just use gMail and we're not seeing you in spam? :?

Do you have another e-mail you can try to send to [email protected]?

We're shorthanded this week due to the FileMaker Developer's Conference, but I'll take a look at your files as soon as I have a chance.

Hi Bryce,

Ii'll follow by e-mail as well, but as John mentioned the Setup Go To Related Records (TOName) script in the GZM file is the issue. This script needs to be edited to contain a branch for each TO you're syncing. This is a new step in 4 and is one of the things that makes it much faster, however, it does require editing the script itself and can't be done from the dashboard. You can look at the stock one that comes for the Contacts sample file and basically copy and paste that branch and adjust for each one of your TOs.

http://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/index.ph ... .SetupGTRR

Everything else looks good, so I think when you get that script set up correctly you'll be good to go.

Let me know if that gets you there.
