I have a hosted solution with two files: the main system and a second file just for storing documents, using external container storage.

Can you confirm that best practice to sync these documents would be to have the mobile file set to store the container data inside the file as opposed to externally? Are there issues with syncing external storage on the server with local storage on a remote device?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for reaching out regarding GoZync and external container storage.

Because of the fact that GoZync sets the field values directly when syncing, where you store the container data in the hosted file is independent of the mobile file. So, yes, you can store the container data externally in your hosted file and directly in the mobile file without affecting the sync process.

You could also store the container data externally on the mobile file without issue. It's really up to your preference.

I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

KC
