Please back up your file before making any changes.

If you haven't already, navigate to the "Settings" tab in the calendar sidebar and click "Account Settings". Click "Check For Updates". This button should change to "Install Update" and inform you that version 9.99 is available. Click "Install Update".

To update the necessary scripts, begin by downloading the latest version of DayBack here:

You should follow these instructions if you have done the embedded integration or the linking integration and you don't want to perform the integration all over again.

Normally our updates don't change so many FileMaker Scripts (most don't change any scripts) but this version adds some new features and bug fixes that are specifically related to scripts. We apologize for all these changes, but they're worth it.

The Changes

Update the following script in your current DayBack File (Your file if you have done an embedded integration), but don't delete the script itself. Rather, use the "Select All" command to select and delete the entire contents of each script, then copy/paste the updated contents of the script from the new version of DayBack into the corresponding script in your DayBack file. You may get an error when opening both files at the same time. This is expected and you can just say "OK" to those errors before continuing. Here is the script that needs to be updated this way:

"Substitute Character Disctionary"

Now add the following new scripts to your file by locating them in the new version of DayBack and copying the script itself (not the contents), and then paste the new scripts into your DayBack file:

“Restore Filters From Webveiwer”
“Send Filters To Webviewer”

Then edit the following scripts by changing specific script steps:

Copy the script steps as shown in the image below in the script “Load Calendar Settings - On Startup --- Edit Configuration Here —“ from the new version of DayBack. Paste the script steps into the same script in your file.

Replace the "Set Variable [$sc_OptionsResultscript]" script step in the script “Webviewer Settings” as shown below. Copy just this script step from the new version of DayBack and delete just that step in your file and paste the updated version in it's place. You may have edited your version of this step to disable "lazy fetching"if you have, set "// Lazy Fetching" line to false. If you don't know what that is, you likely haven't changed it =)

Finishing Up:
Close the new DayBack file you used to copy the script contents from.
Change the build number recorded in the database. Navigate to "File -> Manage -> Database" then go to the "CalendarInterface" table. Change the "BuildNumberCalc" calculation to read "9.99". Click "OK" to save those changes.

Then please run the "Upon Opening" script in your file. This will ensure all of the new settings load properly and the calendar loads with the correct data.

That's it, enjoy DayBack 9.99.

Hello!

The link to download v 9.99 is still downloading 9.97 and does not have the new scripts to copy into my file. Please let us know when you have the link updated- I can't wait to try to the new features!

Thanks!
Nick

Hi Guys,

I just found this post by accident:

I am running 9.97 (SeedCodeCopmplete) and when I click on the update button it says I am up to date?

Also I wanted to give some feedback on your update instructions: sometimes it says either "Your file if you have done an embedded integration" or if you "linked the calendar" etc, but since I bought a SeedCodeComplete version I don't actually know how the integration was done and I it confuses me, as I don't know what I should be doing.
It would be great, if you could also make a reference in your instructions ie "Your file if you have done an embedded integration or if you have purchased SeedCodeComplete".

Another thing: I do get your newsletters by email, but I never get an email about a new version release. Not sure, if you don't do this or if something is wrong with my account? I think it would be nice to be notified instead of me having to check regular if an update is available.

I also noted, that I don't get any forum response notifications by email anymore. Not sure, if my account is not working or if sometehing else is wrong.

Thanks

Kind regards

Regine

Hi Regine,

Since we're not able to replicate the issue with updating DayBack in SeedCode Complete, we'll need to troubleshoot your file. I'll be reaching out via email regarding this.

I'll get a note to the team regarding the update instructions. For future reference, the SeedCode Complete calendar file is separate from the file containing the data that is displayed, so you have a linked integration.

We don't always send out a newsletter when we release a new version of a product, but we do update our Twitter page. You can follow us to get notifications on new build releases: https://twitter.com/daybackstatus

For the email notifications on forum topic posts, make sure you're subscribed to the topic by clicking the "Subscribe topic" button on the bottom left of the page. If you're already subscribed, make sure the emails aren't being automatically moved to your spam/junk folder.

Thanks,

KC
