Hello,

I made quite a lot of changes to Complete/DayBack and the system now has a strange behavior I'm afraid is due to what I did. I tried to follow the code behavior during many debugging sessions but it is somehow difficult to do by the nature of many OnTimer calls used.

What I want to do is to go from Complete (using a simple button) to the Month View in DayBack calendar (or the current mode view). It seems that what I have is a mode view specific to each platform :

    • For iOS and Mac : Each platform remembers its own view mode. When the calendar is first opened, this view mode is chosen

    • For Windows : "Gantt" mode is always the one used when the calendar is first opened

I don't see where those settings are stored!!!

I'm using version 10.21 of DayBack. Is it related? I haven't made any specific coding but we never know after all this time (> 2 years). Which scripts should I look or customize?

I'm a bit lost...

Hi Denis,

There are a couple things going on here.

First, in Windows, we're not able to save the preferences in DayBack (including the last view that was used in the calendar) unless there's an instance of Internet Explorer running to save the required WebViewer cookies. We have more details on this, including a way to script running a minimized instance of Internet Explorer, in our troubleshooting docs here: https://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/index.p ... wsSettings

Next, if you'd like to script the calendar to always open in a specific view, you can do so by passing the preferred mode when navigating to the calendar in the DayBack scripts.

If navigating directly to the calendar, and *not* to a specific project, line 85 of the "Upon Opening DayBack" script performs the "Go To WebViewer Calendar Layout ({Mode})" script. You can specify the preferred mode as a parameter in this step.

When navigating to a specific project, line 43 of the "Show Project On Calendar (ProjectID)" script performs the "Go To WebViewer Calendar Layout ({Mode})" script. This is where you can specify the preferred mode as a parameter.

The available modes that you can enter as a parameter can be found in our docs here: https://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/index.p ... heCalendar

More details on navigating the calendar can be found here: https://www.seedcode.com/pmwiki/index.p ... Navigation

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

KC
