If you're using DayBack Online with FileMaker, one of the authentication libraries in DayBack is being updated next week and this may mean you'll have to make a small change to your configuration.

Who Needs to Take Action

If you're using DayBack in one of the two scenarios below, you used a "token" to connect DayBack to your FileMaker solution or to log into DayBack in your web viewer. Those tokens are changing, and you'll want to update your token before Monday, October 15. You'll want to update your token in two cases:

A. You're using DayBack Online to share calendars from your FileMaker Pro solution, or
B. You use DayBack Onlne in FileMaker WebDirect.

Actions to Take: 1. Update Your Token

To make this transition as smooth as possible for you we have implemented support for both the existing user tokens you have been using, as well as the newly updated tokens that will be needed after the library update. This will allow a grace period where you can update to use the new token with no downtime.

You can find the new user token by navigating to the "Settings" tab in the DayBack Online sidebar and clicking on "Administrator Settings". Then click on "Me: <your account email>" in the sidebar and you'll see the user token. The old user tokens normally started with "eyJ" so the new one would start with something different and be a bit longer.

If you're sharing from DayBack for FileMaker (use case A above), replace your old token with the new one in DayBack's "Load Calendar Settings - On Startup --- Edit Configuration Here ---" script at about line 16.

If you're using DayBack Online in WebDirect (use case B above), these tokens are included in the web viewer URL in your FileMaker solution, so replace the old tokens with the new, longer tokens. The web viewer URL looks like https://app.dayback.com?userToken=<new user token>. You may have one token per user, your web viewer URL will either have one or more than one.

Actions to Take: 2. Update DayBack

If you're sharing from DayBack for FileMaker (use case A above), you'll also want to run the latest in-app update for DayBack for FileMaker (version 10.40 which supports the new token). Instructions here.

Deadline

The old tokens will stop working on Monday, October 15th, so you'll want to make sure you make changes before then. On Monday your regular (non-token) users will be asked to log into again, but token-users should experience no change in behavior and no downtime.
