Import Outlook events to Dayback?

I have a client just ask me if this was possible. I think they want to move away from outlooks calendar and put everything in Dayback. Can events even be exported from outlook into a usable format? I assume there are some limitations with this also. Things like repeating events, etc. Any insights here would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Jim,

It's possible; it can just be tedious. If you're importing into FileMaker, I believe Outlook can export .ics files and we can probably dig up some old scripts that will import .ics into FileMaker. You're right about repeating events being a problem: but DayBack for FileMaker has scripts that can take the repeat rule from Outlook and create the string of discrete records you'll need for FileMaker. We can either send you those scripts or do the import for you as part of an implementation package: https://www.seedcode.com/implementation-packages/

I hope that's good news,

John
