We would like to be able to specify availability for a resource. For Example we are scheduling massage therapists.

Each week:

Sue is available 8am - 5pm Mon-Fri
Bob is available 12pm-6pm Mon, Wed, Fri
Tom is available 9am-3pm Tue, Thurs.

Any suggestions, strategies on how to indicate on the calendar when a specific Therapist is available to be booked for an appointment?

Usually we suggest creating a new source (based on a new table) in DayBack for specifying availability for a resource. This way the source can have its own color on the calendar and can be toggled off and on easily

As far as creating the availability events goes, you can use the Repeating Events feature in DayBack to create each event for the weekly schedule, and repeat them out into the future.

At SeedCode, we create our availability events in half-hour increments so they can be easily deleted and replaced with an actual scheduled event. You could go this route, or you could create one event for the entire time block (8am-5pm). The difficulty with this is if you want to remove an availability for a specific time, there's more work involved with changing the available time event.
